The East Colfax Community Collective

The East Colfax Community Collective is a grassroots collective of neighborhood residents, nonprofits, and allies that is taking a racial equity lens in working to ensure that communities of color and especially immigrant and refugee communities that are most impacted by policy decisions in the East Colfax neighborhood have a voice in the policy decisions that impact our lives. They organize to build a base of leadership to analyze the East Area Plan and identify concrete proposals to bring to the City of Denver both for impacted community and businesses at risk of displacement to improve the outcomes of that plan. The ECCC's base is organizing in all neighborhoods of the East Area Plan (South Park Hill, Montclair, Hale and East Colfax) with a priority on supporting East Colfax as the neighborhood most at risk of displacement and gentrification. The group shares ECNA's vision of wanting to diversify and ensure the leadership in the East Colfax neighborhood so that it reflects the residents that reside in that area.
